Chaldean Numerology

An older letter-to-number system using values 1–8 grouped by sound, where 9 is never assigned to a letter.

What it means

Chaldean numerology maps letters to the digits 1 through 8 based on the sound and vibration of each letter rather than its alphabetical order, and it never assigns 9 to a letter. Numity uses it as the conventional choice for name and business-name analysis, and it is the system behind the two-digit "compound" numbers that carry their own traditional meanings. Because its groupings differ from the alphabetical Pythagorean table, the same name can produce different name numbers in each system. Date-based numbers like the Life Path are identical either way. The letter system only changes name-derived results.
